Intermediate Aerial Dance Intensive

Hone your aerial dance skills on silks, hammock & hoop with dancer/aerialist Kerry Wee. Connect choreography on the ground to aerial sequencing, explore through act creation exercises and up level your performance skill set.
Morning classes:
- Split Fabric Sequencing – Work through the maze of split fabric choreography
- Open Hammock Choreography – Learn sequencing with open fabric on hammock
- Transitions on Lyra – Focus on beautiful and seamless transitions on lyra
Afternoon classes:
- Spinning Silks Sequencing – We’ll explore spinning climb’n drop sequencing with the fabric together
- Spin’n Drop on Hammock – Train dynamic movement and drops on hammock
- Dance on Lyra – Flow and let the world fade away on dance lyra
The aerial studio is open 24/7 and is available for you explore in your free time as well!
When you aren’t training, you will be eating healthy food, lounging at the pool, swimming in the ocean, and enjoying nature. There will be time to explore beaches as well as opportunities to visit the night market in Puerto Escondido and release baby turtles into the sea! Kerry will also offer corrective bodywork to retreaters. Get ready to train, play, feel, chill, make new friends, and have fun!

Daily Schedule Sample: Everything is optional!
- 8:00-9:30 am: Coffee, Tea and Breakfast
- 10:00am-12:30am: Warm up, sequencing/choreography/transitions classes
- 1:00pm: Lunch
- 2:00-5:00pm: Pool-time, siesta, relaxing
- 3:30pm: Afternoon Treat
- 5:00-6:30pm: Spinning and drops class
- 7:00pm Dinner
- 8:00-10:00pm Evening activities

Your Instructor: Kerry Wee
Kerry’s a dancer, aerialist & choreographer. She lived in Los Angeles for the last twenty-four years and instructed at Womack & Bowman The LOFT for almost a decade before recently relocating to San Antonio where she is now at The Aerium. Kerry spent the first part of her career as a commercial dancer performing with Taylor Swift, Motley Crue, Shakira and many more. She’s a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Physical Mind Pilates Certified Instructor and corrective massage therapist.
Kerry created Wrap Your Head Around Silks to reach students all over the world with digital courses and resources like a book “Understanding Aerial Silks” and The Expecting Aerialist podcast with The Digitent Network that focuses on the many women in our community becoming moms while practicing aerial. Her goal is to inspire, inform and develop the skill of dance in the air with her students.
